Support SEL with Active Science Learning and Investigations
Social Emotional Learning, or SEL, allows students to develop critical skills such as the ability to communicate, connect with others, resolve conflict, self-regulate, display kindness and empathy, and cope with challenges.
We know your time is valuable, which is why FOSS PreK-8 curriculum integrates SEL practices into the curriculum. It’s important for educators to have a way to naturally incorporating SEL concepts while teaching science and engineering.
Hands-on science investigations encourage communication and teamwork and promote positive attitudes about self, school, peers, and teachers. Students can create an emotional connection to their work, because what kid doesn’t love science experiments? The result is improved classroom behavior, student and teacher wellness, and academic success.
